ABOUT

The International Percussion Competition at NYU is open to anyone ages 26 and under.
The competition is separated into two divisions:
Division I (Ages 17 - 26 years old)
Division II (Ages 16 years old and younger)

PRIZES

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three competitors in each division:

(participants must compete in a minimum of 3 categories to be eligible for the grand prizes)


1st Place : $1500


2nd Place : $1000


3rd Place : $500


Frequently Asked Questions

A: Yes, we will have practice rooms available on a limited basis for participants, but are not are not able to offer rehearsal space for ensembles participating in the International Percussion Competition.
A: We will attempt to provide all requested instruments for participants of the competition. Should we not have a requested instrument, we will let you know in advance.
A: No, but there are several hotel and meal options near campus. Candidates will be responsible for their own travel, housing, and meal expenses. There are a limited number of discounted hotel rooms available, when booked using this website.
